Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any other questions that are not listed here, please do not hesitate to visit my contact tab and reach out to me.
How long will my order take? How will I know if it shipped?
All of my pieces are custom made to order. Orders can take a minimum of 10 weeks before being shipped. This does not pertain to every order. Once items are shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking information. This email could possibly end up in your junk or clutter mail so please check those places as well.
What are my yarn color options for crochet tops and chokers?
Once you place an order, you must provide an email so that I can contact you and discuss color options with you. There are numerous yarn color options and I want to be sure that you get the color and shade that you are looking for. For chokers, there are less color options but there are still a few to choose from. It is important that you provide a good contact email that you are attentive to so that the communication process regarding choosing the perfect color goes smoothly.
Are crochet pieces completely solid or thermal?
Crocheted material naturally has an open-worked stitch. The pieces are not 100% solid or thermal so you have to plan accordingly in terms of what undergarments you wear with the pieces. It is all dependent upon how comfortable the person is wearing the garments and how they decide to wear/style the pieces.
What kind of yarn do you use?
I use 100% acrylic yarn for the majority of my tops. My Slay K and Slay Kini tops are the only tops offered that are made with 100% cotton yarn. Blankets are made with 100% polyester.
What is the return policy?
At this time, there are no refunds or exchanges. All sales are final.
How do I wash my crochet pieces?
I recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry in order to increase longevity of my handmade items. However, they are machine washable. I always recommend washing handmade items separate from regular items to prevent snagging or bleeding from other garments. Be sure to wash these items on the most delicate setting. Shags however should be spot cleaned or hand washed. I do not recommend washing shags in the washing machine.
Care Instructions: Acrylic and Cotton yarn
Machine wash on the most delicate setting, lukewarm
Tumble dry, normal
Do not iron
Do not bleach
Dry clean, any solvent
Blanket yarn is machine washable and dryable, do not bleach or iron, cotton can be ironed on low.
How do I tie my crochet top?
Tops are sent already laced in the back so that you can get an idea of the structure. It is most likely going to be too tight to put on when you initially receive it so you will have to loosen the straps some. The back design is like a corset or even shoe strings, so it laces in a criss-cross design. It is often easier if someone can assist you by tying the back for you if you are having issues getting it to tie tightly once you have put the top on.
